Canada has an unacceptable food insecurity problem
Hunger is not a third-world problem viewed through our screens. With 1/6 Canadian children going hungry everyday, hunger surrounds us in our communities, and in our neighourhoods.
Food insecurity in Canada is at unacceptable levels, so, let’s all be good neighbours and step up to help solve the problem. Canada’s dairy farmers are taking a leadership role, and want all Canadians to join them in reducing food insecurity across the country.
We may think that most Canadians enjoy a comfortable life, but over 12% of Canadian households are categorized as food insecure.
That means 4 million Canadians go to sleep with an empty stomach. But that’s where we can help out, because that’s what good neighbours do.
